Founding Fathers: champions of our rights?

I find it tragically funny that people who speak of freedom and rights will invoke the founding fathers.

People who allowed slavery. Stood by and watched while women lost the right to vote.

Only allowed white land owners a vote.

I won't throw the baby out with the bath water; they had great ideas, things we can build off of.

But the hypocrisy is hard to overlook

I'm not down with you. I will not idolize you. I do not support you. I do not want our country to return to your ideals.
